[There's a bit of movement and then what sounds like a chuckle.]

[There's silence, and then a scraping noise that grates on the ears and sounds like metal on metal.]

[The sudden sound gets a wince out of Guy. Something here wasn't right. The Colonel had been so concerned with this before.

[There's a sound of something heavy dropping on Jade's end.]

I don't know. Should you really be alone right now?

[He's gingerly packing up those spectacles and his notes. Jade, if he hadn't promised to keep Peony out of this, he'd just be calling the Emperor right about now.]

[There's a small hissing chuckle and the SFC is being moved. There's footsteps as Jade moves to somewhere new.]

[From there, Jade seemed to dip into what sounded like a formula, reciting it presumably from his own head. Guy would most likely be able to pick out familiar pieces from it, as it was the formula he'd given Guy the other day.]

[Yep, he recognizes it. No need to ask if Jade's alright, then. It sounds like the man's mind isn't quite... together.]

Seclusion might be calming. But it isn't always the best option. Not if you really need help.

[The formulaic muttering stopped and when he spoke again, his voice was acidic and suddenly volatile.]

[Guy exhales sharply, staying silent outside the click of his apartment door closing behind him.]
